What is my MOT?
An MOT test is an annual, legal requirement which tests the roadworthiness of vehicles. It's important that you have your MOT test carried out before the expiry date as it is illegal to drive your vehicle without a valid MOT certificate. What's more, you benefit from having it carried out up to a month before it expires because it improves your safety and also takes all the hassle out of the process, avoiding last-minute stress.
Our MOT process explained
Our accredited MOT testers will inspect your vehicle in the greatest detail to make sure it meets the strict standards set by the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency). If there's anything we suspect to be below-par, we'll contact you after your test to inform you and then explain a suitable repair plan to get your vehicle back to the standards you deserve. And, because you know best about your vehicle, don't hesitate to raise any concerns with us and we'll do all that we can to help you.
What happens after my MOT test?
Regrettably, not every vehicle will pass the MOT test first-time but don't worry, we're on hand to make sure it doesn't fail twice. Once you've agreed to the repair plan we suggest, our mechanics will quickly make the repairs needed and then offer an MOT retest to get you back on the road. For extra peace of mind, you could book a service and MOT at the same time - that way, you'll know your vehicle will pass its MOT first time as we will complete the service beforehand to find any problems there and then.
