What is Motability and what is an ex-Motability car?
Motability is a charity set up with the aim of helping to improve access for disabled people through transportation. The Motability Scheme helps disabled individuals to lease new cars which will enable them to access the community more easily and give them greater independence in their daily lives.
The new cars which are obtained through the Motability scheme are leased for three years before returning to the market as used cars. Most manufacturers' warranties last up to three years and as ex-Motability cars are typically at least three years old, most warranties will have run out by this point.
